Pedestrian and Road Safety Update – Hampton in Arden Ward

The following information has been received from Solihull MBC:

Thursday 26th August (for one day) Road Closure on Meriden Road to construct the raised table top near the junction of Diddington Lane, between the hours of 9am – 4 pm.

Site staff have already informed the shops and businesses.

The diversion route for traffic will be ; A452 Kenilworth Road, A45 Coventry Road and B4338 Catherine-de-Barnes Lane.

Bus Services will therefore be affected by the closure. Notices informing Bus Users of the disruption to bus services are to be provided by the bus operators.

Once the works are completed to construct the raised crossing near Diddington Lane on Thursday, our Contractor will be focusing their efforts to complete the remaining works outside the Railway Station and the Gateway/ Give Way priority feature. All the works, including the signing and lining are expected to be completed by Thursday 2nd September.
