As you may be aware, last week we were forced to postpone the planned installation of two bridges across the M42. We have now been able to confirm the first available contingency date for the M42 closure is from the 14 to the 16 October. Please find a letter attached to provide you with more detail.

You will also find attached a letter which informs of a further planned closure we have planned on the A45 Eastbound from the 28 to the 30 October. We we’re unable to send this letter earlier as was intended, as we had to wait for the rescheduled dates of the bridge lift to be confirmed first.

We have taken the decision to send two separate letters to ensure the information for each closure is clear– we hope this does not cause any inconvenience.

We’re doing our utmost to reduce the impact of our work on the travelling public, local residents and businesses. Part of this is to ensure that people are kept informed by our work and any road closures.

If you could help share the message through whatever media channels or information boards then please do so.

If you have any questions about this work, or if you’d like to receive regular updates about the project, you can email me at: steve.vanderpark@skanska.co.uk, or visit the National Highways webpage: M42 junction 6 – Highways England (nationalhighways.co.uk) for details.
