The transport strategy has been developed to meet the strategic transport needs of the borough over the next ten to fifteen years. Our proposals aim to make the transport network reach all people in the borough, help the economy grow in a way that is equal and fair for everyone, improve safety and security for all users and contributes to the quality of life in the borough.

We are now at the consultation stage in the development of the transport strategy and hope to consult fully with the community and a range of stakeholders over these proposals. As part of the consultation, we would welcome your views on how to complete the strategy, where further work may be needed or if there are areas of the strategy where you disagree or object to what is proposed.
