The headline news from recent meetings with Birmingham Airport is that:
- passenger numbers continue to increase month on month;
- noise complaints have reduced significantly compared with this time last year;
- the re-designed flight path for aircraft turning to fly north is now fully operational; and,
- a trial completed at Heathrow that increased the aircraft landing glide slope by 0.2 degrees suggests a modest decrease in noise levels. Further trials will be carried out here next summer.
