Chelmsley Wood Town Centre Masterplan In a previous Community Update the details were shared of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council’s plan which could transform Chelmsley Wood Town Centre over the coming years, along with asking for your views by completion of a survey. A Public Consultation is underway with further opportunities to learn more and provide views and feedback. A set of consultation boards have been produced which set out proposals for features that could be included in future development, such as new residential use, improved community facilities and a new food retailer. It also presents ideas for delivering new attractive public realm and better connections with the existing town centre and surrounding neighbourhoods, incorporating key feedback from last year’s Chelmsley Wood town centre visitor survey. You can view the consultation boards here: Consultation Boards Once you’ve had the chance to review these boards, you can share your feedback by taking part in the accompanying Consultation Survey Your views will help shape a draft masterplan that best meets everyone’s aspirations for the town centre whilst remaining realistic and deliverable. The consultation material is available to view in-person at the Solihull Recruitment and Training Centre. Paper copies of the survey are available from Chelmsley Wood Library. There is also an opportunity to join a webinar, where the project team will present the consultation information and be on hand to answer any questions. The webinars will take place on:
The consultation closes on Thursday 24 March. Please see further information here: https://www.solihull.gov.uk/Planning-and-building-control/chelmsley-wood-town-centre-masterplan |
