Highways England (HE) announced the preferred route for the M42 junction 6 Improvement scheme on the 7th August 2017. A ‘modified’ version of Option One has been agreed upon. Further consultations will be held in both Hampton-ion-Arden and Catherine-de-Barnes in the autumn to explain the outcome in more detail.
However, it should be noted that these improvements will not provide a short cut to Solihull and that drivers will not be able to leave the motorway going southbound or access the motorway going northbound.
