The new and amended restrictions are proposed in response to local concerns and aim to regulate
on-street parking. They will address obstructive parking along Marsh Lane which is reported as
becoming more prevalent following the opening of a restaurant in the local area. This will aid the free
passage of traffic and preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
The proposed ‘No Waiting at any time (double yellow lines), will discourage obstructive parking at
along Marsh Lane near to the restaurant where several customers are observed to currently park.
The ‘No Waiting at any Time’ (double yellow lines) in the nearby cul-de-sacs are to protect visibility at
these junctions in the event of any displaced parking.
Proposed “Limited Waiting up to 30minutes Mon-Sat” and proposed “No Waiting Mon-Sat 08:00
18:00” (single yellow lines) on the high street will also aid free passage of traffic in an area that is
historically tight to manoeuvre in due to a narrow road width.
