Residents Consultation
Please complete the attached survey before Friday 28 July 2023:  https://forms.office.com/e/sraCbkLinZ
This consultation will run until Friday 28 July 2023.
Recent public meetings have highlighted a number of parking issues within the Parish.  The recent re-opening of the Beeches as Soho Tavern has increased these parking issues.  Your Parish Council has therefore agreed a series of measures that we believe will address all these issues and improve safety for all road users.
The proposals are:
1 Hampton in Arden
Proposal HA1: Install double yellow lines on Marsh Lane and Fentham Road for 10metres either side of the junction.
Proposal HA2: Install double yellow lines at the top of Marsh Lane and the High Street to replace the existing white lining and ‘keep clear’ markings.  Short-term loading and unloading will be permitted.
Proposal HA3: Install single yellow line on the eastbound side of the High Street opposite the village stores and Butchers Road between the terraced house and the entrance to the manor.  Short-term parking permitted for a maximum of 15 or 30 minutes.
Proposal HA4: Install double yellow lines on Shadowbrook Lane either side of the sharp bend by the entrance to the sports ground.
2 Catherine de Barnes
Proposal CA1: Install double yellow lines on the eastbound side of Hampton Lane between the Nisa shop and the canal bridge.
Proposal CA2: Install double yellow lines at the junction of Hampton Lane and Lugtrout Lane on both sides of Lugtrout Lane up to Appletree Close.
We would like to seek both resident’s and business’s views on these proposals before we discuss further with SMBC Highways.

** Please note, following this consultation the Parish Council will enter into further discussions with Solihull MBC.  This is a lengthy process whereby Solihull MBC will then carefully consider any requests in further detail.  Should they be approved, this will then go to further consultation and be budgeted for.  Therefore any introduction will take time **
