Electric Underblanket Swaps
Age UK Solihull is working hard to help vulnerable households keep warm
this winter. This includes people over 75 and those living with long term
conditions such as respiratory and heart conditions and other illnesses that
mean they are more at risk during the cold weather, for example, diabetes
and dementia.
As part of this work we are offering free electric underblanket swaps to
those most vulnerable in the cold weather. New electric underblankets
are very economical to run, even all night on a low setting. They use
about the same amount of electricity as a 100 watt light bulb.
If the electric underblanket you use on your own bed is over 3 years old or
showing visible signs of wear and tear we could swap it for a new one.
You can book an appointment to attend one of the swap sessions being held
at the Community Advice Hub, Lower Ground Floor, The Core, Central
Solihull Library.
